MANUELA SALINAS

I`m a senior majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in Entrepreneurship at The University of Central Florida, I'll be graduating in Summer 2025.  I began my journey as a journalism student in the fall of 2021, moving from Colombia to pursue my dream of becoming a journalist. The experience of migrating taught me to be brave and believe in myself. I’ve always been passionate about people's life stories, often striking up conversations with strangers in everyday situations. This curiosity about others is what led me to study journalism, as I hope to share people’s stories through my writing. At UCF, I’ve discovered new interests, particularly in sports and social media. These passions are opening new opportunities for me to grow as a journalist. I’m excited about the future and the path that will guide me toward becoming a great journalist. Outside of my studies, I enjoy working out with friends, drawing, and designing clothes for myself. These activities help me unwind and stay creative as I continue to pursue my dreams in journalism.
